Title: THE EVIL PAINTING

Author: Julie Hart

Publishers: Burlington Books

Summary: One day mum brought home a horrible painting. This painting was about an ugly man. At night I listened to strange noises. I went downstairs, and mum was talking with the painting. Mum eyes were red and she looked like a slave. Mum went upstairs, and I went to my brother’s room and I told him what had happened. My brother and I threw the painting to the street and a lorry went over the painting. Mum cried: Stop! Give me the painting! We went to bed but mum stayed in the street a minute. The next day the painting  appeared on the wall and my brother destroyed it with a knife. At night mum brought the painting to the house again. My brother and I investigated, and we discovered a lot of things. The painting was of  William Kent, a famous hypnotist. He hypnotized women to kill people, and he drowned. We went to our house and we took the painting. Mum watched us and she chased us. We arrived at the river and we sank the painting. Mum stopped being hypnotized by the painting, and we returned home.

Opinion: In my opinion this book is interesting but with a lot of photos. I don’t recommended this book because it is very short.
